BOISE, ID, Apr 28, 2009 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) -- American Ecology Corporation (NASDAQ: ECOL) (the "Company") today reported operating results for the quarter ended March 31, 2009. Operating income for the first quarter of 2009 was $6.0 million, down from $9.5 million for the first quarter of 2008.
